I wanted to have a wedding that was not only full of great memories for me, but for our friends and family as well. The presents and favors I got everyone were things that could be treasured for a lifetime. The gifts I bought were meant to be reminders of what an outstanding wedding day and night we had together. I began by selecting keepsake gifts and moved on to things like a wedding invitation keepsake. There were a lot of wedding items to choose from on the internet, with suggestions of very nice items for both ceremonies and receptions. Whatever I needed for my reception, I found it there.
On all of my reception tables were floral centerpieces I had made up at the florist and gorgeous floral scented candles that looked as if they were covered in lace and came with a pretty little ceramic holder. My place card holders were adorable, and I got those on the web as well
The place card holders I decided on were beautiful beaded picture frames that the guests could all keep after the reception. I made up my mind that the people at my wedding woud get practical favors that, afterwards, would be radiant keepsake wedding gifts. Giving out favors that have no practical purpose always struck me as a useless thing to do. If it has no usefullness, it’s probably going to be discarded or forgotten. I wanted our friends and family to have something they will hang on to and remember sharing our special day with us every time they use it. So I chose bistro coffee mugs for each of our friends and family’s gift. It’s a product that any person can utilize, and the ones I got looked really cool. I bought a bunch of pretty hang tags to put on the boxes they arrived in, but the containers were so nice-looking that I just kept them in the boxes they came in.
I found so much online that I could use for our wedding reception. One super item we picked out was our wedding cake topper. I decided to go with something with special meaning to us.
We were playing football together the first time we met, in a friend’s backyard. I got a couple in wedding garb in the middle of a football game to remind us that his first move on me was when he was trying to tackle me.
