Cool ceramic wedding favors

Saturday, May 16th, 2009

I think the hardest part of planning a wedding is deciding on thank you gifts for your friends and family. There is choices like practical gifts that they can use at home, crystal gifts or maybe even ceramic wedding favors figurines. Whatever your preference, I found out there are an awful lot of each to choose from.
I’ve even found ceramic favors for my country themed wedding ceremony and reception party. You can use just about any favor made of ceramic for almost any themed wedding you are planning. Like the little tea caddys that I ran across online with nice black ceramic wedding trays to place them on. Some of the selection I checked out were tea lights, flower vases, and candle holders that would make awesome ceramic wedding gifts. I made wedding favor shopping the last thing on my to do list, because not only is it hard to choose the right gift, but there is just so much to choose from.
So, I decided to start with the decorations for my reception tables first. Since this was a country western motif, all my tables were picnic tables with checked tablecloths and a little metal bucket full of daisies was the centerpieces. The little barbecue grills I picked out as place card holders were so cute, and I thought they would make adorable little souvenirs of our reception for our friends and family to keep. Since we were having a family cookout instead of having our party catered, I thought the little grills were a nice added touch. We had cowboy shaped glasses to drink from and little tiny cowboy hats at each guests place setting to add to the western motif. I chose the really lovely honey pots and dippers, with a heart on the end on their handles, as the ceramic wedding favors for our guests, instead of the tea caddy I saw earlier. They were so adorable and they fit right in with the country motif of our reception. There were also beautiful candle holders that would have made a terrific ceramic wedding favor for our guests, and I almost decided on that. With all the great decorating accessories at my disposal, our tables had the look of a real country wedding, and the rest of the motif was perfect too.
With the haystacks we set up and the white lights twinkled in the trees, it was the epitome of a country wedding. Talk about a western themed wedding cake topper, ours was one of a cowgirl hog tying her groom and probably taking him to the preacher. We all had a good laugh from our whimsical cake topper. In fact there were lots of laughs through the whole reception, with all the dancing and partying that was going on, we were all having a fantastic time. The kids really had a great time on the hayride we had all fixed up for everyone, and that had to be one of the best times ever.
Our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all the people that cared enough to be in our wedding party received nice little gifts from us too. All the bridesmaids got cool  ceramic wedding gifts, and the guys got these awesome cowboy steins as wedding thank you gifts. We bought a flower girl tee shirt and a ring bearer tee shirt for the adorable kids in the wedding. Our friends and family and everyone in our wedding party seemed to be very impressed with our choice of wedding favor gifts for each of them.
I also bought a few extras for myself, like a sharp little western themed guestbook and pen, picture album and I even ordered a cowboy hat for me and my husband that said bride and groom on them. I thought this would turn out great, but it was way more better than I had imagined, what a super party we had.
